A Little Bit Of Home (Malta) In My Kitchen.

I have never been very lucky with plants, the only ones that seem to survive in my house are the Cactus type which is very strange considering I live in the north of Italy. During my holiday in Malta I couldn't resist gathering some seedlings from a plant (some kind of cactus) that my mother had on her terrace, she had many of these, so I thought I could try and plant them in a pot once back in Italy. Well, I did exactly so , I just scattered them on some soil mixed with tiny rocks in a pot and put it indoors on my kitchen window sill and I am so happy to see they are growing and very fast too . Every time I look at them I can't help but think of home.



Non ho mai avuto fortuna con le piante, le uniche che sopravvivono in casa mia sono i Cactus; è molto strano, visto che vivo nel Nord Italia. Durante le vacanze a Malta ho raccolto dei germogli da una pianta
( una specie di pianta grassa) che mia mamma aveva nel terrazzo, ne ha molti di questi , allora ho pensato di piantarle una volta tornata in Italia. Bene, ho fatto proprio così, sono contenta che stanno crescendo e anche velocemente. Ogni volta che le guardo non posso che pensare a casa.

"Four Seasons" Box.

Among the many things I collect are some boxes of various shapes and sizes all waiting to be painted. Here is a very small wooden box I just finished painting. It's not perfect as I know there are many flaws.
The sides of this tiny box measure 3 inches high and 2 inches wide.
I painted a side for every season.



Tra le tante cose che colleziono ci sono alcune scatole di varie misure che aspettano di essere dipinte. Ecco una piccola scatola di legno che ho appena finito di dipingere. Il lavoro non è perfetto, sono consapevole che ci sono molte imperfezioni. I lati misurano 8 cm per 5 cm. Ho dipinto una stagione per ogni lato. Here's what the box looked like before .

Wish Upon a Star!

This is a graphic I made some time ago and named "Wish upon a star". I collect angels and love to draw pretty ones too, this is just one of the many I drew on the computer, it is totally mouse drawn and thought it would be nice to share with you. Sliding Gift Box

I had started designing this gift box some days before my holiday and today I got back to where I had left it and I finally finished the project.
Here is my new sliding gift box.





Avevo iniziato questo progetto alcuni giorni prima delle vacanze e oggi sono riuscita a riprenderlo dove l'avevo lasciato e finalmente l'ho finito. Ecco la mia nuova scatoletta regalo.
It measures 6 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches .

Misura 16 cm per 6cm.

Per piegare guardate i videos. Ho girato 3 videos perchè la mia macchina fa dei filmati molto corti. La qualità non è molto buona perchè è la prima volta che la uso per girare dei videos.

I put some synthetic cotton in the bottom of the box so that the gift will not move about.
This box is great for pens and bracelets.



Ho messo un po' di ovatta sintetica in fondo la scatola così il regalo non si muove. Questa scatola va bene per penne e braccialetti.

I'm back.

Here I am back home again.
The holiday was great and we enjoyed every minute.
Rest, sunshine, sea but best of all was the wonderful welcome my family gave us.
Meeting all my family was fantastic and I am sure going to miss them all.
One thing I will not miss at all is the terrible heat and humidity.
I have finished unpacking and am slowly returning to the old routine.
I have managed to organise a slide show with some pictures for you, these are mainly views and characteristic shots.




Eccomi di nuovo a casa.
La vacanza è stata favolosa.
Riposo, sole, mare ma il meraviglioso benvenuto della mia famiglia è stata la parte più bella.
Incontrare tutta la famiglia è stato fantastico e mi mancheranno tutti moltissimo.
Una sola cosa non mi mancherà... il caldo tremendo e l'umidità.
Ho finito di disfare le valigie e piano, piano sto tornando al vecchio tran tran.
Sono riuscita a mettere su uno slide show con alcune foto per voi; queste sono alcune vedute e qualche scatto caratteristico.
