Seasonal Outing - Gita Annuale

At this time of  year the small mission group of our parish ,  we are ten ladies in all and  I am part of this group since 2007, usually organises an annual outing to one of the many Holy Sanctuaries in Italy and this year we chose to visit the Sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes in Forno , Coazze, Piedmont. We managed to involve some of the husbands too and spent the morning in this beautiful and peacful place. I enjoyed the magic of this place... a total immersion in nature's wonderland far from the crowds and the hectic life. The only sound was that of a small waterfall and the chirping of some birds.

The location wasn't far from one of the many lakes in this region so we spent the afternoon by the  larger of the two lakes of Avigliana . We were lucky that the weather held all the morning and afternoon , all in all it was a beautiful way to close the  mission group's activities for the season.

In questo periodo dell'anno il piccolo gruppo missionario della nostra parrocchia, siamo in tutto una decina di donne di cui  faccio parte dal 2007, organizza una gita annuale ad uno dei tanti Santuari in Italia e quest'anno abbiamo scelto di visitare il Santuario dedicato alla Madonna di Lourdes a Forno, Coazze, Piemonte. Abbiamo anche trascinato qualche marito e  trascorso la mattina in questo posto bellissimo e tranquillo.  La magia di questo luogo  mi ha toccata immensamente  ... una totale immersione nella natura lontano dalle  folle e la vita frenetica. L'unico suono( non riesco a chiamarlo rumore) veniva da una piccola cascata e da il cinguettio di qualche uccello.

La località non era lontana da uno dei tanti laghi in questa regione così abbiamo trascorso il pomeriggio al più grande dei due laghi di Avigliana. Siamo stati fortunati che il tempo ha tenuto tutta la mattina e il pomeriggio, tutto sommato è stato un bel modo per chiudere le attività del gruppo missionario per quest'anno.
