Hope Hearts --- Cuoricini della Speranza

Hello friends!
I hope some of you still drop by once in a while to see if I am still alive. Giggle!!!
Yes, it has been a long time since I last posted something on my blog. I haven't been in the mood for crafting this Summer. Too hot and sticky for crafting but now that the weather seems to have cooled down and thanks to a special request from my sister I set down to make some HOPE HEARTS for a dear friend's daughter who's undergoing chemio.
What are Hope Hearts?
They are handmade stuffed fabric hearts that are meant to represent hope and encouragement to someone who is seriously ill.  They are made by the friends and family of a person who is sick, to provide an emotional lift.
These 3 hearts that I made will join many others that will be mailed to our friend's daughter. The lady who had this beautiful idea is Leslie from Leslie's Art and Sew.
She is offering a free kit to all those interested in making these hearts. Read more here.

I embroidered the word hope on the biggest heart and used stickers, trust and believe, on ribbon, for the other two.

The hearts are beautiful but the thought behind them is even more so.

Sue,

Your "Hope Hearts" turned out "Beautiful."

I'm sure it's going to make our friend's daughter have a "Glimmer of Hope."

I liked how you used fabric and felt, and stickers on ribbon.

Your "Hope Hearts" were crafted with "Love."

Hugs~ Joann
