4th October - Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

Today is the feast of Italy's Patron Saint ... St. Francis of Assisi.
Happy Feast Day to all those who are called Francis, Francesca, Francesco, Franco and all the names that derive from Francis.
Here is a prayer written by the saint himself:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

Where there is injury, let me sow pardon.

Where there is doubt, let me sow faith.

Where there is despair, let me sow hope.

Where there is sadness, let me sow joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console,

To be understood as to understand,

To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Oggi è la festa di San Francesco d'Assisi... santo patrono d'Italia. Auguri a tutti i Franceso, Francesca, Franco e i nomi che derivano da Francesco. Ecco la Preghiera semplice scritta da San Francesco:

PREGHIERA SEMPLICE

Oh Signore fa di me un istrumento della tua Pace
Dove è odio, fa che io porti l'Amore.
Dove è offesa, che io porti il Perdono.
Dove è discordia, che io porti l'Unione.
Dove è dubbio, che io porti la Fede.
Dove è errore, che io porti la Verità.
Dove è disperazione , che io porti la Speranza.
Dove è tristezza, che io porti la Gioia.
Dove sono le tenebre, che io porti la Luce.
Oh Maestro, fa che io non cerchi tanto :
Ad essere consolato, quanto a consolare.
Ad essere amato quanto ad amare .
Poichè :
Si è : Dando, che si riceve ;
Perdonando, che si è perdonati ;
Morendo, che si risuscita a Vita Eterna
