Breakfast Placemat

I finally finished the project I had mentioned in a previous post ( 3 posts back).
Those who left a comment and said I was making a cat guessed right , it is a cat's head which I sewed onto a breakfast placemat I made ... it holds the napkin in place.
I used some leftover red cotton fabric and white bias edging for the mat as well as some white cotton fabric, from an old bed sheet, for the cat's head. The napkin in the picture is a paper napkin since I stopped using linen napkins long ago.
I love to recycle leftover fabric, there are loads of crafts I can do with it.
I made this for my daughter, she loves cats.

Ecco, finalmente ho finito il lavoro del quale vi avevo parlato in un altro post ( esattamente 3 posts indietro).

Nei commenti tutti hanno indovinato giusto, stavo ricamando la testa di un gatto, eccola qui cucita sopra una tovaglietta che ho fatto... serve a tenere il tovagliolo.

Per la tovaglietta ho usato della stoffa rossa di cotone che mi era avanzata e una fettucina per sbiego bianca per il bordo e per la testa del gatto ho usato del cotone bianco rimasto da un vecchio lenzuolo strappato. Il tovagliolo nella foto è di carta ... sono anni che ho smesso di usare quelli di stoffa.

Cerco sempre di trovare qualcosa da fare con i pezzi di stoffa che mi avanzano, ci sono tante cose che si possono fare con queste stoffe.

Ho fatto questa tovaglietta per la prima colazione per mia figlia, lei ama i gatti.
