NEW IDEA (Part 1)

I am sure you all know how unbearable the sound, of a dripping faucet, can be. After almost three weeks of this terrible sound in my kitchen, day and night, my DH decided that it was about time we called a plumber to have the tap replaced with a new one since changing the washer made no difference.
Oh... what a relief ! Believe me the drop, drop, drop, sound was driving me nuts. Now to get to the point of this post, the plumber replaced the, wall mounted, kitchen faucet with a new one but had to use the same old rosette cover plates ( I don't know if this is the right word) of the old tap because the water pipes in the wall were too short for the new ones , anyway we kept the new ones just the same. My DH said they were useless without a faucet but I put them away ... my mind was already spinning and thinking of something to do with them. Who knows me well, knows that I hate throwing things away . Well , these plates inspired me for a new project.
Curious to know what I'm working on? Well, you'll have to wait some more, I haven't finished my project yet , I need one more important piece to finish the item and have to go to the supermarket for this one. I bet you're curious to know what this other part is, eh?
Don't worry, I won't keep you waiting for long... it's a promise!
So be on the look out for my next post. I will be back soon!

Rosette cover plate..... Rosone

A presto!

That drip drip sound would drive me crazy too but it would also worry me with the high costs of our water bills besides the fact that water is being wasted.
Can't wait to see what you're up to now : )

Curious Fact: dripping water was one kind of torture used for prisoners of war. The sound drove them crazy.
